Bosch Barrel Blend Reserve : Release #1

Taking home a Silver Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, we are proud to offer the first release of Moss Distillery’s Bosch Reserve Spirits.

This two barrel blend by Michael Bosch was sourced from Whiskey Thief Distillery out of Frankfort Kentucky. The two-barrel blend consists of a 68% Corn / 24% Rye / 8% Barley Mash aged for 6 Years, 2 months married with a 72% Corn / 18% Rye / 10% Barley Mash aged 5 years, 4 months.

Nose: Floral, Cinnamon, Stone Fruit, Bright Red Fruits, Baking Spices, Oak, Honey, Vanilla

Palate: Rye Spices, Oak, Fruity, Tropical, Bright Red Fruit; Strawberry, Stone Fruit; Peaches, Tropical Fruits; Banana

Finish: It has a nice rye spice that gradually gives way to a medley of fruity notes—bright red fruits, stone fruits, and tropical fruits. Once the rye settles, you’re left with a delightful balance of fruitiness and sweetness.

Moss Distillery Company originated from a pre-prohibition distillery established in the mid-1800s by J.T. Moss. Situated along the Youghiogheny River in Port Royal,
South Huntingdon Township, Pennsylvania, it became the second legally chartered distillery in the state following the passage of the McCain Corporation Act. The charter was granted on November 7, 1901, with Harry Walter Frost serving as its Master Distiller. Today, Michael Bosch, a native of South Huntingdon Township, is breathing new life into the brand, adapting it for contemporary tastes.
