Bosch Single Barrel Reserve : Release #2

This single barrel selection by Michael Bosch was sourced from Whiskey Thief Distillery out of Frankfort Kentucky. The barrel has a 72% Corn / 18% Rye / 10% Barley mash bill and was aged for 6 years.

Nose: Fruity, Molasses, Honey, Vanilla, Oak, Baking Spices, Citrus, Floral, Chocolate

Palate: Bright Red Fruits; Strawberry, Red Apples, Rye Spices, Oak, Pepper, Creamy Vanilla, Demerara Sugar, Oak

Finish: It opens with flavors of strawberry and red apple that perfectly complement the rye spices. Then, a touch of sweet sugar lingers on the back of the palate, while the vanilla seamlessly ties everything together.

Moss Distillery Company originated from a pre-prohibition distillery established in the mid-1800s by J.T. Moss. Situated along the Youghiogheny River in Port Royal,
South Huntingdon Township, Pennsylvania, it became the second legally chartered distillery in the state following the passage of the McCain Corporation Act. The charter was granted on November 7, 1901, with Harry Walter Frost serving as its Master Distiller. Today, Michael Bosch, a native of South Huntingdon Township, is breathing new life into the brand, adapting it for contemporary tastes.
