Good Times Rye: Apple Ice Wine Finish

Limited and Rare, this Good Times Rye Single Barrel picked by Michael Bosch is made with a 95 Rye / 5 Malted Barley MGP Mashbill and double finished to bring forth a very unique experimental finish. After aging in its original oak barrel, this rye was then finished in an Apple Brandy cask followed by finishing in an Ice Wine Cask.

This Barrel Strength Non-Chill Filtered release comes in 7 years, 6 months total age and at a velvety 118 proof.

Tasting Notes: This one simply tastes unique and amazing! On the forward palate, the Apple Brandy finish comes through with bright spicy flavors that are still warm with notes of caramel apple with rich oak spice, clove, and vanilla that are reminiscent of Grandma’s Apple Pie baked in the cool day of Autumn. The Ice Wine finish wraps it up with the sweetness that my palate loves.
